Mr. Wayne Hornsby, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born in Tallassee, Alabama, March 18, 1941, to Whitt and Melvin Hornsby.
Mr. Hornsby is survived by his wife of 63 years, Becky M. Hornsby; daughter, Donna Hillman; granddaughter, Courtney Gagnon (Chris); great grandchildren, Brady Gagnon and Bailey Gagnon; sisters, Jeanette Lambert and Ruth Wallace; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Whitt and Melvin Wilkerson Hornsby, three sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Hornsby was a graduate of the Alabama Military Academy and retired as a Captain in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was an accomplished musician and he loved to travel.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 10:00AM until service time at 11:00AM at Macedonia Christian Church, Tallassee, Alabama.
