Sarah Ellen Harris passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, in Wetumpka, Alabama, at the age of 58. Born on July 12, 1968, in Tallassee, Alabama, Sarah’s journey through life was marked by deep family bonds, cherished friendships, and a steadfast appreciation for the simple joys of time spent outdoors.
Sarah was the beloved daughter of Elsie Harris, who survives her, and the late William Harris. Her life was shaped and enriched by her close relationships with her siblings: sisters, Nancy Kent, Betty Crumpton (Randall), Kay Johnston (Tim), and Donna Emfinger (Freddy), as well as her brothers, David Harris (Shelly) and Charles Harris. She is remembered with affection by the family of her late husband, Jimmy Langley.
Family gatherings were a cornerstone of Sarah’s life, and she delighted in the company of her granddaughter, Aleah Johnston. Her love extended warmly to her nieces and nephews, who will remember her caring nature and gentle spirit. Sarah forged meaningful friendships along her journey, and her presence will be deeply missed by dear friends Charlie Osborne and Christi and David Stough.
Sarah’s character was reflected in her many passions, most notably her love of camping and fishing. Whether sharing stories by a campfire or casting a line on a tranquil riverbank, she found joy and peace in nature, moments she eagerly shared with loved ones and friends.
Sarah’s enduring legacy is one of kindness, warmth, and steadfast dedication to family and friends. As her loved ones gather to honor her memory, they are comforted by the recollection of her generous heart and the special place she held in their lives.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 2:00PM until service time at 3:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home, Tallassee, Alabama, Pastor Chris Whittington officiating.
In the hearts of all who knew her, Sarah Ellen Harris' memory will remain a source of strength, love, and inspiration.
