Raymond Curt Haywood

Raymond Curtis “Curt” Haywood, a longtime resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 69.

Raymond owned and operated a plumbing business in Tallassee and the surrounding area for over 30 years where he was well known for his honesty, integrity, and eclectic personality. His many hobbies reflected his curiosity and creativity; there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t learn or fix. He was truly a jack of all trades.

Raymond was born to the late Raymond Haywood and Ginger Kirby Chappell. He is survived by his two sons, Lewis Haywood (James), Johnathon Haywood (Isay) and his siblings, Lynette Monroe (James), Shayne McCollum (Paula), Rodney McCollum (Jeannie) and Charlie McCollum, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Raymond was a man whose kindness and dedication touched every life he encountered. He devoted himself to helping others and was a constant source of love, wisdom, and laughter. His legacy will live on in the countless people he helped and the impressions he left embedded in everyone he met.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1:30PM until 2:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00PM, Rev. Jay Woodall officiating.
