Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Voncile Stough Baker, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, August 01, 2012, at the age of 90. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 04, 2012, at 11:00am from East Tallassee Baptist Church with Rev. Derek Gentle, Rev. Kevin Webb and Dr. David Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Carole (Don) Mathews, Jo Ann (Joe) Jeffcoat and Barbara (Rick) Garnett; her sons, Raymond (Connie) Baker and Harold (Aidee) Baker; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Mr. Fred Stough and sister, Mrs. Ersil Pierce; several nieces and nephews and her special caregiver, Laura Torbert. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Mr. William Hershel Baker and her parents, Percy and Ruth Stough. The family will receive friends Friday, August 03, 2012, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
