Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Sarah Melton, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the age of 85. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 01, 2013, at 10:00 am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Melton is survived by her children, Linda Watts, Cathy Jones, Angela Melton and Steve Melton; sister, Ruby Stearns; brother, Donald Jones; grandchildren, Amy Christiansen, Amanda Champion, Chris Jones, Todd Watts and Madison Melton; great grandchildren, Connor Christiansen, Sydney Christiansen, Mason Christiansen, Micah Watts and Aerin Watts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Doyle E. Melton. Mrs. Melton was a devoted homemaker, devoted to her family. She was a longtime member of East Tallassee Baptist Church, where she worked most of her time there in the Preschool Department.
