Mrs. Ruby Mae Gibbons

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Ruby Mae Luster Gibbons, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born March 22, 1927, in Holtville, Alabama, to John and Effie Luster. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 11:00 am at County Line Church of Christ Cemetery, County Road 39, Millbrook, Alabama, with Minister Michael McElroy officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Gibbons is survived by her four children, Sam Gregory Gibbons (Jeanette), Aurelia Hogan, Beth Gibbons and Angela Gibbons; ten grandchildren, Mark Gibbons, Amanda Gibbons Hannon, Brock Hogan, Brent Hogan, Ashleigh Evans Millwood, Brandon Evans, Aleecia Crippen Fryer, Audrey Crippen, Emily Crippen and Josh Delk; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Millernee Whitaker; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and her husband of 69 years, Sam William Gibbons. Mrs. Gibbons was a devout Christian Lady, whose faith and trust in the Lord allowed her to embrace each day with dignity and grace. She loved to read, garden and fish, but was at her happiest when cooking for her family and friends. She always made her family her top priority.
