Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Ruby Louise Carmichael, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 09, 2012, at the age of 87. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 2:00pm from Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Rodgers and Rev. Tim Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Carmichael is survived by her son, Paul R. Carmichael of Opelika, Alabama; daughter, Julia Ann (Alan) Cullars of Tallassee, Alabama; sisters, Chimeria McGhee, Martha Monroe and Bernice Winslett; devoted sister-in-law, Annette Rodgers; two grandchildren, John Russell (Allison) Carmichael and Andrea Elizabeth (Stephen) Bradshaw; three great grandchildren, Allie Bradshaw, Collier Bradshaw and Noah Russell Carmichael; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Fred Carmichael; parents, George W. and Ruby H. Ray; sisters, Odessa Smith, Eunice Clayton, Hazel Ray and Mildred Ray and infant brother, baby Ray. Mrs. Carmichael was a very devoted caregiver. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, 2012, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Mrs. Carmichael will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
