She was born September 29, 1948 in Montgomery, Alabama to Wilburn Joseph Dyess and Edwina B. Dyess. A visitation will be Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10:00AM and a memorial service will follow at 11:00AM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Woodall officiating. Jeffcoat Funeral home will be in charge of all local arrangements. Mrs. Johnston is survived by her daughter, Saundra Soden (Richard); grandchildren, Candace Soden and Michael Soden; two Uncles, Marlin Dyess and Tom Dyess. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Clark; parents, Wilburn Joseph and Edwina Dyess and brother, Gene Dyess. Mrs. Johnston loved to keep her hands and mind busy by doing different types of arts and crafts. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
