Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Peggy Worthington Cousins, a long time resident of Central, Alabama, passed away at home after a brief illness, Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the age of 83. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 03, 2012, at 11:00am at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Cousins is survived by her sons, Presley Cousins, Jr. (Pamela) of Plantersville, Alabama and Christopher Michial Cousins (Joyce) of Wetumpka, Alabama; daughters, Peggy Irene Holcomb and Frances Norine Williams, both of Central, Alabama, Thelma Jolanda Yancey (Greg) of Freeport, Florida, Melissa Ann Czerpak (Kenny) of Equality, Alabama and Michelle Ann Waite (Jeff) of Justin, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; brothers, Farrell Worthington and Wayne Worthington (Sheila); sisters, Norma Watkins, Verla Norris (Edward) and Martha Sellers. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mr. Presley “Bill” Cousins, Sr.; son, Burl E. Cousins and granddaughter, Shea Cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, November 02, 2012, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Mrs. Cousins was a lifetime member of Central Baptist Church in Central, Alabama, where she had been a dedicated Sunday School teacher and devoted member of the Women’s Missionary Union.
