Atkins, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, born March 28, 1935, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010, at the age of 75.Funeral services will be Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 11:00am from Riverside Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Billingsley and Mr. Steve Schmitt officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Atkins is survived by her husband, Mr. Ray Atkins; daughters, Donna Funderburk (Danny), Kathy Loomis (Keith) and Tina Dunson (Jeff); grandsons, Dustin Funderburk (Lauren), Kyle Loomis, Kaleb Loomis, Karson Loomis, Andrew Dunson and Matthew Dunson; granddaughter, Dixie Funderburk, and sister, Jeannie McFarland.The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 25, 2010, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.Mrs. Atkins retired from the Tallassee School System after twenty-five years of service.
