Taylor, a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and formerly of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the age of 94. A Celebration Of Her Life will be Saturday, August 02, 2014, at 11:00am at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters, Annice Thompson of Williamston, South Carolina and Terry Cox (Carlton) of Tavares, Florida; son, William Taylor of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brother, W. Ray Fields of Melbourne, Florida; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Floyd “Pappy” Taylor; son, Robert Taylor; brother, Terrell Fields, Jr. and her two pet terriers - PeeWee and Bonnie Blu. Ona was born in Tallassee, Alabama, to Terrell and Rachel Fields. She was a devoted United States Navy wife and loving mother who had an endless joy for flowers, birds, music and cooking her family recipes. Ona had a great passion for reading books which she passed on to all of her children. She will be greatly missed and cherished by her friends and family. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 02, 2014, from 10:00am until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
