Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Norma Joy Weldon, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Weldon is survived by her husband, Wendell Weldon, Jr.; daughter, Robin Raiford; son, Jeffrey Brent Weldon (Beverly); grandchildren, Caleb Weldon, Courtney Jackson, B.J. Goodman and Cody Goodman; great grandchild, Brodie Goodman; several nephews and nieces, Russ DeLoit, Dave DeLoit, Cliff Weldon, Clint Weldon, Steve Weldon, Julia Claire Benson, Cade Weldon, Dane Weldon, Cherokee Weldon, Traci Stephens and Dallas Weldon. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth DeLoit; brother, Doug DeLoit and son-in-law, Joe Raiford. Mrs. Weldon was a beloved wife and mother and a friend to many. She was a longtime member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Tallassee. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Harbor, 1 Our Children’s Highway, Alexander City, Alabama 35010.
