Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Nell James Mann, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the age of 87. Mrs. Mann is survived by her children, Susan Dragone (Bob), Hollis Mann (Lee), Russell Mann (Deborah), Kim Mann (Ann), Karen Pouncey, Keith Mann (Linda), Lori Cannon (Larry), Leah Cullars (Jonathan); twenty grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and two great, great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rolland H. Mann; parents, John F. “Johnnie” James and Genie Hale James; son-in-law, Al Pouncey; six brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Nell was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In her younger years, she loved fishing with her children, golfing with family and friends, and singing with Shirley Jackson and Hulda Gauntt in their group, “The Mothers Three”. She was a great cook and her famous peach cobbler was especially loved by her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was lovingly supporting the continually growing family that she and Rolland began together in 1950. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2:00PM at First United Methodist Church, Tallassee, Alabama with Rev. Clint McBroom officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1:00PM until service time.
