Mrs. Mildred Cannon Segrest

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Mildred Cannon Segrest, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 06, 2014, at the age of 92. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 08, 2014, at 3:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Bower officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Segrest is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy B. Segrest of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandsons, William Brantley “Brant” Segrest and wife, Lee Hill Segrest and Neal P. Segrest and wife, Karen Bailey Segrest; great granddaughters, Ava and Carson Segrest, all of Greenville, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cline Segrest; son, William Cline Segrest; daughter, Helen Regene Segrest; brothers, Elder, Hoyt, Fletcher and James “Rabbit” Cannon and sister, Myrtle C. Boles. Mrs. Segrest was a charter member of First Presbyterian Church of Tallassee. Her forte was cooking, gardening and being a homemaker. Mrs. Segrest enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to her caregivers, Peggy Brown, Mary Butler, Mary Dallas and Cameda Cox and Community Hospice. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 08, 2014, from 2:00 pm until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
