Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Marjorie L. Baker, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the age of 85. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 01, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Baker loved her family dearly and went out of her way to show her love. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly B. Mims (Ronnie) of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Barry Baker (June) of Tallassee, Alabama; grandchildren, Olivia Mims, Greg Baker and Chad Baker (Danielle); great grandchildren, Sydney Baker, Cole Baker and Carrington Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mr. Forrest Baker; grandson, Baker Mims and brother, Bureon Ledbetter. Mrs. Baker was a member of East Tallassee Baptist Church for many years. She volunteered as a part of several church ministries, including children’s programs, Vacation Bible School, Nursery Program and Church Choir. She had a true servant heart and treated everyone like family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 01, 2015, from 12:00 PM until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
