The family will have a private graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. She is survived by her granddaughter, Tina Higbe (Chris); grandson, Freddie Smith(Brianne); great grandchildren, Justin and Connor Higbe and Lauren, Zachery and Michael Wilson; daughter-in-law, Linda McNees (Jim), sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Carthell Smith and Paul Peters; son, Freddie Vinson Smith; parents, Freddie and Edna Wilson and her brothers, Harold and Lanier Wilson.
