Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Margaret Durden Taylor, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away, Friday, August 12, 2016, at the age of 96. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery Sunday, August 14, 2016, at 2:00PM, with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Newman (Susan), Terry Newman, Tony Newman, Jason Benton (Krystal), Ashley Jones (Cliff), Mike Parrish, Brent Taylor and Cassie Dye; great grandchildren, Ashley Newman, Tracy Newman, Lacy Newman, T. J. Newman, Colby Jones, Abigail Jones, Emily Jones; Katlyn Benton, Kennedy Benton, Meri Katherine Benton and Cody Taylor; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor; children, Connie Newman, Ricky Benton and Cindy Taylor, and her brother, Russell Durden. Margaret worked many years with the Tallassee Mills. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandmother. She found her hope and strength in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
