Mrs. Louise Collier Price Mcginty

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Louise Collier Price McGinty, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the age of 91. She was born January 19, 1921, in Weoka, Alabama, and lived in Tallassee, Alabama, all of her adult life. Mrs. Louise was one of ten children born to Thomas and Laura Jane Collier. She was married to Dial Talmadge “Buddy” Price for 49 years, until his death on September 17, 1988. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama, with Minister Mike McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. McGinty is survived by her son, Larry (Brenda) Price and her daughter, Betty (Lane) Ruff all of Tallassee, AL; grandchildren, Tommy (Laura) Grier of Aiken, SC, Jason (Jeannie) Price of Tallassee, AL, Paige (Jeff) Roberts of Savannah, GA and Allison Coker of Tallassee, AL; step grandsons, Scott Ruff and Craig (Janet) Ruff; ten great grandchildren, Allen, Camilla and Caroline Grier, Justin and Jordan Price, Drew and Alex Coker, Seth and Lilly Roberts, Olivia Ruff; sisters, Lenora Coker and Katherine Jones; many nieces and nephews who loved her and will miss her so very much. She is preceded in death by her parents, T.E. and Laura Jane “Dolly” Collier; husband, Buddy Price; daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Tony Grier; sister, Aulsie Floyd Walls; brothers, Ben Collier, Lamar Collier, Adolph Collier, Clark Collier, Bernice Collier and Donald Collier. Mrs. McGinty was a member of First Baptist Church, Tallassee, and retired from Mount Vernon Mills of Tallassee, Alabama. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 12:00 noon until service time at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama.
