Hammonds, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at the age of 89. Funeral services will be Friday, August 13, 2010, at 10:00am from East Tallassee Church of Christ with Minister Mike McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 12, 2010, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at East Tallassee Church of Christ.Surviving relatives include her son, Michael Hammonds (Katherine); daughters, Rachel Hammonds and Lisa Cross (Robert); three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Mrs. Hammonds is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Wilbur Hammonds.
