Funeral services will be Monday, May 13, 2013, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama, with Rev. Derek Gentle and Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hornsby is survived by her children, Mike (Nancy) Hornsby, Kathy (Dennis) Monroe and Chris (Jennifer) Hornsby; grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Smith, Shannon (Justin) Luster, Stacy Monroe, David (Jamie) Hornsby, Brandi (Anthony) Rye, Ashton (Isaac) Parks and Heather (Damon) Hargroves; great grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Drew Baker, Michael Smith, Eli Hargroves, Melanie Rye, Trace Parks, Jaxon Luster and Cael Hargroves; brother, Wilbert Spivey; sister, Lucille Fannin and sister-in-law, Shirlene Spivey. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Mr. Dowdle Hornsby; daughter, Sibyl Hornsby and parents, George Zola and L.E. Spivey. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 12, 2013, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
