Mrs. Lois Ann Ledbetter

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Lois Ann Majure Ledbetter, a resident of Lake Martin, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, August 05, 2015, at the age of 74. Memorial services will be Sunday, August 09, 2015, at 3:00 PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dric Williford officiating. Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by her children, Warren Lewis Ledbetter, Laurie Ann Ledbetter and William Russell Ledbetter; former husband, Larry Lewis Ledbetter; grandchildren, Nicholas Majure Ledbetter, Erin Elizabeth Ledbetter and Gisele Alexandra Desjardin; brother, Miles McKenzie Majure. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ernest O. and Marjorie E. Majure. Lois Ann was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and was raised in Tallassee, Alabama. She was a cheerleader at Tallassee High School and was a world-class water skier. After high school, Lois Ann attended Auburn University. She married Larry Ledbetter in 1959 and had three children. As the family of a pilot in the United States Air Force, Lois Ann and her family traveled the country and world, the highlight being four years in Naples, Italy. Returning to Atlanta, Georgia, she started and grew a very successful dental consulting firm. In 1996, she semi-retired to her family home on Lake Martin and spent 20 happy years in the lake house built by her father, Dr. E. O. Majure. Her beloved pastime was feeding and attracting bluebirds to her property. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 09, 2015, from 2:00 PM until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
