Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 04, 2014, at 11:00am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Michael McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Kathy is survived by her spouse, Bob Hurst; mother, Mrs. Doris Lazzeri; daughter, Mrs. Kim Chavis; grandchildren, Cortlin Chavis, Cameron Chavis and Collier Chavis; sisters, Mrs. Mickey Hammonds (Jeff), Mrs. Terry Adair (Bobby) and brother, Mr. Michael Lazzeri. She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Mike Lazzeri. Kathy was a loving caretaker of animals. She had a special ability to nurture abused or stray dogs. She also had an amazing ability to write poems. Her tender words will be forever cherished by her family.
