Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Judy Thompson Jones, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 2:30PM from Claud Independent Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Claud Independent Methodist Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert S. Jones; children, Paul Jones (Bonnie), Donna Thomas (Bobby), Rita Smith (Dannye); grandchildren, Heidi Norrell (Eric), Tiffany Sullivan, Brad Jones (Nikki), Valerie Skoro (Vedran), Jody Smith (Julie), Shawn Thomas, John Smith, Shawn Mahan (Deana), Heather Chandler (Michael); eleven great grandchildren; sister, Faye Day (Harold) ; brother, Don Woodall (Marty) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Thompson; mother, Adelle Woodall; stepfather, Marshall Woodall; infant daughter, Debbie Gail Jones and great grandchild, Braxton Jones. Judy was married to Robert for 60 years and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved farming, sewing and her church at Claud Independent Methodist Church. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the workers at Community Hospice for their kindness and care. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the church from 1:30PM until service time.
