Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Jan Smith, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at the age of 61. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Sparks officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. She is survived by her husband, Darryl Smith; children, Nikki (Derek) Price and Brad (Lauryn) Smith; grandchildren, Clay Price, Mason Smith, Addie Grace Smith; sister, Debra (Tom) Callaway. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Pitts and her niece, Jessica Callaway. Jan was married to her loving husband, Darryl for 40 years. She was employed by Community Hospital where she worked as a nurse. Jan had three grandchildren who were her world, which knew her as GMama. They loved their GMama and she loved them with all she had. Jan enjoyed fishing with Darryl, spending time at the lake with her family, watching Clay play baseball and playing with Mason and Addie Grace. Jan constantly gave of herself in order to help others. She definitely had a very loving heart and always put others before herself. Jan loved the Lord with everything she had and made sure to instill that love in her children and grandchildren.
