Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 3:30 pm from Rose Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Randall Newman officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Matheny is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Matheny; brother, Donnie Wallace and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herman Matheny; sister, Tiny Short and brothers, Troy and Labon Wallace. Mrs. Ida was a loving wife, mother and faithful member of Beacon of Hope Church of God. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 10, 2016, from 2:30 pm until 3:15 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
