Mrs. Hulda Harper Gauntt

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Hulda Harper Gauntt, age 78, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away February 2, 2013 due to complications with pneumonia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church, Tallassee, Alabama with Rev. Dave Barkalow officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Hulda was born on April 18, 1934 in Carrville, Alabama to Jim and Pearl Harper. She worked for many years as a teller at The Bank of Tallassee. Hulda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Gauntt; two loving children, Mary Gail (Steve) Hogan, Mandan, North Dakota; Burton (Stephanie) Gauntt, Kent, Alabama; sister, Gayle Harper (Jimmy) Emfinger, Tallassee, Alabama; and grandson Alex Owens, Grand Forks, North Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Brandon Jessie Owens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
