She was born August 17, 1938, in Tallassee, Alabama.Graveside services will be Monday, January 31, 2011, at 11:00am from Bullard Cemetery, Eclectic, Alabama, with Rev. Jack Stabler officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Lanier is survived by her husband, Mr. Andy Lanier; daughters, Terry Kay Lanier and Karen Ann Colligan; grandchildren, Christopher Warren Colligan (Letecia) and Andrew Kelly Colligan; great grandson, William Colligan; brother, Aubrey Gresham; nephew, David Gresham; niece, Carrie Mitchell (Brad); great nieces and nephews, Brady and Kristen Mitchell and Courtney and Emily Gresham.Mrs. Lanier graduated from Tallassee High School; however, she spent most of her adult life in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she taught pre-school and kindergarten at Haverhill Baptist Day School for 33 years. She was a member of Haverhill Baptist Church for 45 years and she was also very active as a girl scout leader in the Palm Glades Girl Scouts in Lake Worth, Florida.
