Mrs. Eloise Hyde

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Eloise Hyde, age 95, a resident of Redland, Alabama, passed away on July 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Redland Baptist Church with Rev Bryce Cox officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Cemetery, Childersburg, Alabama, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Carl Hyde; two sons, Stephen Robert and his wife Norene, Kenneth Wayne and his wife Gini; seven grandchildren, Michael Robert, John Stephen, Kenneth Paul, Mathew Wayne, Kimberly Danielle, Tina Louise, and Jason Carl; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, Arlo and niece, Gail. Eloise is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Ester Reynolds; three brothers, Clyde Wilbur, Charlie Vance, Lester Albert and two sisters, Nina and Willodene. Mrs. Hyde was born in Candler, Buncombe County, North Carolina. She was united in marriage to Carl Hyde on November 14, 1940. During World War II, when Carl was drafted, Eloise followed him throughout his military training until moving back home after he was sent overseas. She was known for her kind heart and shared her knowledge of the bible throughout her fifty years of Sunday School teaching at First Baptist Church of Childersburg. Eloise worked out of the home for thirty years as an award winning Avon representative. After moving to Tallassee to be with her sons ten years ago, she became a member of the Redland Baptist Church. She always said that she made as many friends in ten years at Redland Baptist Church as she did in Childersburg. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 10:30 am until service time at Redland Baptist Church.
