Mrs. Elizabeth Lett Roton

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Elizabeth Lett (Bess) Roton concluded her physical life on July 13, 2013, resting peacefully at home in Tallassee, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lanier. After graduating with honors from the University of Alabama, she devoted her life to numerous civic organizations, church missionary work and most importantly, family. Her most precious moments were spent with her children, Frances Bodner (Matt) and Ray Roton (Sarah); grandchildren, Russ Bodner, Frank Bodner, Sam Bodner, Cam Hughes (Lawrence), Helen Mendheim (Cliff) and Lanier Roton (Jenna). Bess doted over her great grandchildren, Sarah Campbell, Guy, Sims, Mary Helen and Campbell. Bess will be remembered for her deeds well done, kind words and loving spirit. Private Services were held July 16, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, with Dr. David Bentley and Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. Burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family would like to thank her caregivers for their unselfish and compassionate service; the clergy of the First Baptist Church; the medical staff that cared for her and her many friends for their prayers, love and support.
