Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Elizabeth “Liz” Hansen, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the age of 73. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10:00am at Church of the Holy Spirit, Montgomery, Alabama, with Rev. Patrick Driscoll and Rev. Charles Troncale officiating. Graveside services for the immediate family will be Friday, July 31, at 2:45pm at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hansen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mr. David Hansen; son, John Hansen (Juli) and daughter, Kristen Hansen; grandchildren, Samuel Hansen and Mary Elizabeth Hansen; sisters, Marie D. Luke (Don) and Margaret D. Baranski (Joe); brother, Frank P. Donahoe (Kathy) and brother-in-law, Jack Farren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marie Donahoe and her sister, Ann Farren. Mrs. Hansen retired from Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama, after 28 ½ years as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Tallassee, Alabama, and a member of the Catholic Women’s Association. She was also a volunteer for the ACTS Organization. Mrs. Hansen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Father Lynch Seminarian Fund, 620 Gilmer Avenue, Tallassee, Alabama 36078.
