Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty Jo” Hornsby, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the age of 91. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 2:00pm from Providence Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Don Gilbert and Elder Marvin Paulk officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hornsby is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Sides and Julia Beth James (Randy); son, Joseph DonMarquis Hornsby (Jean); grandchildren, Dedra Ann Dicks (Clyde), Debra Gayle Carmichael (Scott), Thomas Earl Sides, III (Teresa), Mark Hornsby (Michele), Jeff Hornsby (Tonia) and Amy Dawn Giddens (Rushin); 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Hornsby; daughter, Nicci Lynn Hornsby; parents, Elder Sanford L. and Eula Lee Hornsby; brother, Whit Hornsby and sister, Vivian McLain. Mrs. Hornsby was an active member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church for approximately 50 years.
