Mrs. Dorothy Ann Harris

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Dorothy Ann “Dot” Harris, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the age of 81. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 1:00 pm at The Episcopal Church of The Epiphany with Minister Warren Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Mr. Thurman Gaston Harris; sons, Donnie Gaston Harris (Jill) and Mark Stephen Harris; grandchildren, Misty Leann Butler (Brad), Shay Gaston Harris (Kristin Grier); great grandchildren, Zachary Scott Butler and Ethan Lee Butler and her sisters, Juanita Bodiford, June Rowe and Patsy Shaw (Lane). Dot and Gaston were married for 65 years. She was a kindergarten teacher for many years and worked until her retirement at WalMart in Tallassee as the Customer Service Manager. She was an active member of The Episcopal Church of The Epiphany in Tallassee. Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Florence Biggers; sister, Virginia Blackwell and brother, Charlie “Buck” Biggers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Episcopal Church of The Epiphany, P. O.
