Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Doris Butler Woodard, a resident of Eclectic, Alabama, and formerly of Valley, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at her home after an extended illness. Graveside services will be Friday, October 25, 2013, at 2:00 pm (CST) at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Valley, Alabama, with Pastor Derek Gentle of the First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama, conducting the services. Mrs. Woodard is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Duckett, Lake City, FL, Mrs. Charlene Lisle (Curt), Opelika, AL and Mrs. Elaine Duncan (Bryant) of Eclectic, AL; eight grandchildren, Tana Norris, Scott Duncan, Allison Billingsley, Tina Jenkins, Tim Duckett, Tracy Duckett, Micah Duckett and Terri Jenkins; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Mrs. Woodard is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Herman Ocie Woodard; her parents, Charlie and Jessie Butler; a sister, Amy Shurett and brothers, Charlie Butler and Robert Butler. Mrs. Woodard was a faithful member of the Hugley Baptist Church, Hugley, Alabama, until such time she was unable to attend due to her illness. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 24, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home in Tallassee, Alabama.
