Mrs. Delma Ashcraft 'Granny' Kenney

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 10:30am at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama, with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Kenney is survived by her three daughters, Mary C. Chandler (Russell) of Tallassee, Alabama, Betty Varner (John) of Millbrook, Alabama and Renee K. Barker (Danny) of Tallassee, Alabama; grandchildren, Russell L. Chandler, Jr. of Tallassee, Alabama, John Kevin Varner of Seattle, Washington, Jay Kelly Varner (Terri) of Millbrook, Alabama, Krista Joy Outlaw (Lance) of Elmore, Alabama and Kathryn Janelle Alderton (Chris) of Prattville, Alabama; great grandchildren, Joshua Kelly Varner and Jonathan Kaleb Varner, both of Millbrook, Alabama, Aiden Reilly Outlaw of Elmore, Alabama and Elisha James Alderton of Prattville, Alabama; brother, William A. Ashcraft of Smith Station, Alabama; special friends, Bill, Betty and Kenny Carwile of Tallassee, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Warren D. Kenney; parents, Arthur and Birdie Ashcraft; sister, Eunice Ashcraft Wasden and brother, J.D. Ashcraft. Mrs. Kenney was a member of First Baptist Church, Tallassee and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. At the age of 80, Mrs. Kenney retired from Wal-Mart, where she served as a door greeter for thirteen years. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10, 2012, from 9:00am until service time at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama.
