Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Carolyn Delane Dunn Totty, a lifelong resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October18, 2015 at age 82 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at 2:00pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel. Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl Totty (Sarah) of Duluth, GA; sister- and brother-in-law, Emily & Maurice Rutledge of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews, many dear friends, and her beloved dog, Little Bit. Carolyn graduated from Tallassee High School, and began work in 1967 with the Tallassee City School system in the food service department for several years until her retirement. She was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church for all of her adult life and served in many roles of leadership and servant hood during her time there. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles K. Totty; daughter Cynthia Joy Totty; parents Clyde and Laura Dunn; brother Willie Clyde Dunn; surrogate parents J.T. and Ruth Jones, and their children, Edna, Virgil, Pat, and Flora, as well as nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 4345 Friendship Road, Tallassee, AL 36078. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 from 1:00pm until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
