She was born August 25, 1946, in Tallassee, Alabama to Rufus and Nettie Clayton. Mrs. Surrett is survived by her daughter, Michelle Rothwein (Heath Parker); grandsons, Mathew Ward Rothwein and Wesley Thomas Rothwein (Morgan); brothers, Gary Clayton (Pam), Bob Clayton (Luann); sister-in-law, Lisa Clayton and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Nettie Clayton; husband, Jimmy L. Surrett, Sr.; brothers, Ronald Edward Clayton and John Mark Clayton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:30AM from Macedonia Christian Church with Rev. David Hooks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
