Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Billie Jean Coker, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2015, in her home, at the age of 81. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 02, 2015, at 3:00 PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Marshall and Pastor Larry Armstrong of Eastern Hills Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Billie Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married Eugene S. Coker on April 30, 1954, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Together they raised three sons, Steven Coker (Mondene), Randy Coker (Sandra) and Stan Coker (Dayna). She had one precious granddaughter, Tia, and one sister, Priscilla Ray (Harold) – which all survive her. She loved and taught her children unconditional love and support. Billie Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Cooper. Billie Jean had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, and enjoyed meeting with her Sunday School Class. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends from recipes of her own creation. Billie Jean was an incredible seamstress and had a gift to make anything from fabric. Her family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support and would also like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Montgomery and Mrs. Elaine Maximilian for caring for her final days. Billie Jean lived by the Golden Rule, and the family wishes for people to do a loving act of kindness in her memory. Active pallbearers will be Leroy Coker, Jr., Bill Struthers, Jerry Norrell, Steve Scott, Jimmy Melton and Donnie McAnnally. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 02, 2015, from 2:00 PM until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Jeffcoat Funeral Home Directing Tallassee, Alabama
