Funeral services will be Monday, April 02, 2018, at 3:00PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Durwood Hornsby officiating. Burial will follow in Chana Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Atkins is survived by her sons, Billy Thornton and Johnny Thornton; grandchildren, Vickie Duane (Andy), Craig Thornton, Kim LaChance (Ray), Angie White (Kyle), Bryan Kelly, John Keith Thornton (Tammy); great grandchildren, Alan Brek Waites, Tom Duane, Erin Iannarelli (Paul), Kyra Thornton, Ashley Pemberton (Seth), Sean LaChance, Caleb White and John Thornton. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Thornton and Charles L. Atkins; son, Stanley Lee Thornton; daughter, Bobbie Bosclair; two grandsons, Bart and Chris Thornton and numerous brothers and sisters.
