Rick Dorley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, from 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.Mr. Knowles is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Luann Morris (Tommy); son, Mr. Johnny Mitchell (Phyllis); grandchildren, Emily Smith, Will Smith, Justin Mitchell and Brian Mitchell (Dixie); three great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Virginia Sutton and niece, Pam Tarpy.He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Patricia R. Knowles.Mr. Knowles retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service.He also retired from Community Hospital, Tallassee, Alabama, as the maintenance supervisor after several years of employment.
