Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Wayne “Whooper” Webster, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 69. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Webster is survived by his daughter, Paulette Meadows (Allen); son, Benjamin Buchanan (Vickie), grandchildren, Brooke Meadows Watson (Dustin) and Paige Meadows Jones (Colby); brother, Perry Martin Webster (Josie) and his sister, Minnie Sue Huey. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Atkins Webster; parents, Lottie Mae and James Perry Webster; brother-in-law, Lee Huey and special friend, Catherine Clayton. Mr. Webster was the first tiger baby for the Tallassee High School Tigers for the school year of 1967.
