Derek Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.Mr. Benton is survived by his son, Jason Benton (Krystal); daughter, Ashley Jones (Cliff); mother, Margaret Taylor; grandchildren, Katlyn, Kennedy and Meri Katherine Benton, Colby, Abigail and Emily Jones; sister, Connie Newman (Donnie) and several nieces and nephews.Ricky was a loving Son, Daddy and Gandaddy.He was co-founder of AES Industries, a member of the City Council of Tallassee, an active leader in his community and sponsored several Wounded Warrior Projects. He also truly loved the people of Tallassee and invested much of his time to improve the city of Tallassee.The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2011, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, In Memory of Mr. Ricky Benton, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
