Mr. Montgomery is survived by his daughters, Christine Montgomery (Darren Freeman) and Deidra Gaither (Michael Calhoun); son, Robert Ray Montgomery, Jr. (Melissa Wade); grandchildren, Amanda Gaither, Robbie Montgomery, Destiny Calhoun, Raven Freeman, Jada Freeman, Dalton Bass and Addison Bass; great grandson, Ty’Quan Ross; sisters, Patsy Guy and Linda Edwards; brothers, Emmett R. Montgomery, Donald Gene Montgomery and John Wayne Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.
