Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 3:00pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Burial will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery. Rick is survived by his daughter, Lena Gross (Jason) of Bristow, VA; son, Garrett Godwin of Charlotte, NC; mother, Mrs. Wallace Godwin of Tallassee, AL; grandsons, Andrew and Ryan Gross; brother, Lamar Godwin (Deborah) of Tallassee, AL and close friend and caregiver, Mike Baswell. He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. L M Godwin. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 30, 2012, from 1:00pm until service time at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
