Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Len Wilbanks, Jr., age 68, resident of Lake Martin, Alabama, passed away peacefully with family present on Monday, December 09, 2013, at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. Funeral services will be Friday, December 13, 2013, at 1:00 pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Chris Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Len was born January 15, 1945, and was the son of the late Juanita Mathews Wilbanks and Lenward C. Wilbanks, Sr. of Tallassee, Alabama. He was a graduate of Tallassee High School where he lettered in several sports and a graduate of Auburn University, majoring in Industrial Engineering. He enjoyed watching this year’s Auburn Football Team’s victories. Len’s career included working at Mt. Vernon Mills, West Point Pepperell Mills and Bibb Mills. He was a successful business owner of auto painting and collision centers throughout the southeast. In addition to Len’s father, he is survived by his devoted daughter, Laura Wilbanks Rodier (Dr. Bart Rodier) of Orlando, FL; his beloved grandchildren, Garrett Griffin, Averett Griffin, Corbin Rodier, David Rodier; sister, Sheila Wilbanks Kaylor; niece, Monica Gerow; nephew, John Golden and dear friend, Judy Tidwell. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Wilbanks and his daughter, Lisa Wilbanks Griffin. The family will receive friends Friday, December 13, 2013, from 11:00 am until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
