Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Keith Stanley Loomis, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, formerly of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the age of 54. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11:00am from Heritage Baptist Church with Dr. Teman Knight and Rev. Lee Wright officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30pm in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 375 Rigsby Road, Tallassee, Alabama, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Keith is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mrs. Kathy Atkins Loomis; mother, Mrs. Alice S. Loomis; sons, Kyle Benton Loomis (Jessica), Kaleb Russell Loomis and Karson Andrew Loomis and brother, Kenneth Charles Loomis (Ashley). He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley G. Loomis. Mr. Loomis served as Youth Minister for Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, for 12 years and worked for World Changers in Alpharetta, Georgia, for 7 years. Keith also had served as the Youth Minister for Terrace Acres Baptist Church in White Settlement, Texas, and as the Youth and Music Leader of Redland Baptist Church in Wetumpka, Alabama. He had been employed by the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions as a State Missionary since January of 2002, and currently, he was an associate in the Office of Collegiate and Student Ministries. Over the last five years, he had also served as Interim Senior Adult Minister for Heritage Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church Legacy Fund, 1849 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36106. The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 14, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Heritage Baptist Church.
