Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Jimmy Lee Meadows, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be Monday, July 22, 2013, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Reeltown with Rev. Steve Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in Reeltown Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Meadows is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joanne Browning Meadows; daughter, Beverly Grooms (Mark); four grandsons, Derrick Grooms, Josh Grooms, Dustin Lanier and Cody Lanier; brother, Donald Meadows (Angie); several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Meadows Lanier; parents, Maurice and Nellie Jane Meadows and two brothers, Wade and Dandy Meadows. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Mr. Meadows will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
