Mr. Phipps is survived by his wife, Cyndi Phipps of Tallassee, Alabama; daughter, Amy Whittington of Nebraska; son, Andrew Phipps (Vanessa) of Florida; four grandchildren, Kohrie and Logan Whittington, Emily and Jenna Phipps; four brothers, Russ Phipps (Leeann) of Tallassee, Alabama, Rick Phipps (Nancy) of Florida, Buddy Phipps (Theresa) of Iowa and Mike Phipps (Janie) of Colorado; three sisters, Helen Riley (Larry) of Oklahoma, Phyllis Boeck (Dale) of Colorado and Rhonda Jester (Bernard) of Texas; step mother, Bonnie Carlson; sisters–in–law, Marsha Beerman, Carlotta Brink and Ruth Phipps, all of Iowa, and a host of nieces and nephews.
