He was born May 29, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Reeltown, Alabama. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Reeltown, at 11:00am. Rev. Ross Kilpatrick and Rev. Mark Brumbeloe will officiate with burial following in Reeltown Cemetery.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2010, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laurie Kenney Smith; daughters, Courtney Taylor Smith of Auburn and Allison Brooke Smith of Reeltown; son, Jackson Wade Smith of Hartselle; mother, Mrs. Alice Newman Smith of Reeltown; brothers, Jack and Judy Smith of Reeltown, Jay and Elaine Smith of Auburn and Joel and Beth Smith of Opelika; sisters, Angie and Charlie Harper of Tallassee, Audrey and Chris Hollis of Opelika, Sara and Terry Muncher of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and Jinnene and Justin Massey of Trussville, Alabama; half-sister, Nancy Smith Hagopian of Pensacola, Florida, and half-brothers, Mike and Pam Smith of Dania Beach, Florida, and Jim Smith of Hollywood, Florida.He is also survived by his devoted parents-in-law, Ralph and June Kenney of Dadeville; sister-in-law, Melody and Dennis Stiff of Opelika; brother-in-law, David and Patsy Kenney of Newnan, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his father, Mr. James Odis Smith and his infant sister, Martha Smith.Mr. Smith was employed by the State of Alabama, Department of Transportation for 28 years.Online Condolences Available: www.jeffcoatfuneralhome.com.Jeffcoat Funeral Home DirectingTallassee, Alabama
