Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. James W. Johnson, a resident of Liberty City, Alabama, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014, at the age of 77. Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2014, at 4:00pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Stephens and Rev. Dric Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Shirley Griffith Johnson; children, Marlon Johnson (Heather) and Brandon Johnson (Donna); grandchildren, Brooke and Scott Johnson, Allison and Valerie Gayle Johnson; brothers and sisters, Billy Johnson, Vestee Smith (Lewis), Betty King (Bruce), Bennie F. Johnson, Gaynell Myren and Jerry Johnson; numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Leander Johnson and Birdie Lee Johnson; brother, Bobby Johnson and sister, Ann Carter. Mr. Johnson was a longtime barber in Auburn, Alabama. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. The family will receive friends Monday, October 06, 2014, from 2:30pm until service time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
