Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. James C. “Bud” Dean, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He was born October 03, 1925, and his parents were Norman “Riley” Dean, Sr. and Minnie Lee Spradlin Dean. Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2011, at 11:00am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Dean is survived by two brothers, Charles Dean of North Augusta, South Carolina and Norman R. “Hubby” Dean, Jr. of Tallassee, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clayton Dean, Woodrow Dean and Cary Dean and three sisters, June Gresham, Elaine Valenti and Pauline Dean. Mr. Dean served in the Merchant Marines for 25 years. Some of those years were spent hauling war supplies to our military troops overseas for the United States Government.
